Define and Control Interfaces
- Identify all external interfaces of your system where a Joint
Technical Architecture (JTA) interface standard or DoD data interoperability
requirement applies but the interface is not in compliance. Discuss
the non-compliance specifics and whether or not a waiver from
compliance with interface standards will be sought.
- What is the process for approving and then making changes
to the requirements, design, or implementation for each of the
external interfaces to this system?
- For each of the external systems with which you will have
an electronic interface, what is the latest date that each of
the following must be completed, approved, and under formal configuration
control that will not cause your planned completion date to slip?
- Interface requirements specification
- Interface design specification
- External system ready to test the interface
